5 Reasons You Should Visit Niagara Falls This Year
Happy New Year! I’m currently at LAX awaiting my flight to beautiful Fiji after an action-packed past few weeks home in California. I’ll get back into the swing of things on this blog with a few of my own posts once I’ve returned to Australia, but for now, I present you a guest post about a place still on my bucket list: Niagara Falls. Enjoy!
Niagara Falls is one of the most majestic places on earth. As one of the top natural wonders of the world, this is the perfect destination for your next vacation. Niagara Falls receives a large number of tourists that visit this area every year, and it’s easy to see why.
Whether you’re planning your next big business trip, or even if you’re planning your next family holiday, you’ll certainly want to consider Niagara Falls. Below are five reasons why you should make your next trip a stay at Niagara Falls.
1. The falls will blow you away
We rarely ever have our breath taken away; we normally go about our day following the same routine over and over again. However, the moment you lay your eyes on the Niagara Falls, your jaw will drop. The beauty of the falls is simply amazing; it’s a piece of art created by nature. There is nothing else like this, and the experience will definitely make a mark on your life in the best way possible.
2. The wine
Being such a tourist haven, Niagara Falls has more to offer than just an amazing view of the waterfalls. There are over sixty wineries in the local area, and every single one of them is worth checking out. Obviously, you won’t have enough time to visit all of them, but the vast amount of choice when it comes to wine tasting in the area is simply amazing. Combined with numerous fine dining locations, you’ll fall in love with the wine and dining opportunities available at Niagara Falls.
3. Family friendly
Niagara Falls has something for the entire family, so bring your kids along and share a priceless moment with them. Whether your kids want to take a helicopter ride over the falls, or even if you want to spend a day at one of the many nearby theme parks, you’ll find it here.
4. Hornblower Tours of Niagara
Nobody should visit Niagara Falls without taking a famed Hornblower Tours of Niagara boat ride. Raincoats are provided to all those who board, but you should still pack an extra set of dry clothes, because you will most definitely get wet. This boat brings you into the heat of it all as you ride to the bottom of the falls. Feel the cool mist on your face and experience the force of nature at its best.
5. Clifton Hill
Last but not least is Clifton Hill, the most attraction-packed street in all of Niagara. Whether you want to enjoy live music, take a tour on the impressive SkyWheen, or even visit the renowned Louis Tussauds wax museum, Clifton Hill is the place to be. Give dinosaur mini golf a shot, or even spend a while checking out the Ripley’s Believe it or Not museum; you definitely won’t have a dull moment during your stay.
There’s so much to see and do here that the biggest question is, “How long should we stay?” Book a room at the best Niagara Falls hotel and be placed in the heart of it all.
Amazing place it is also on my list ! 🙂
I hope you get to visit!
…It looks beautiful–and if there are theme parks nearby, I DEFINITELY have to add it to my list (*big kid alert*)!!…
I feel you on the theme parks!
hi kirstie, your guest post is cool! i’ve been to this magnificent niagara falls so many times since i live in a nearby city but every time i see the beauty of the falls, i am amazed! in spring, summer and autumn you can feel the mist in the air but during winter time when the falls is almost frozen there’s magic in the air especially when the colored lights at night reflects on the frozen falls, it’s something to behold. hoping that you would visit niagara falls and experience how lovely it is.
p.s. on the theme parks: Canada’s Wonderland Park is not too far away and lots more theme parks around town.
That sounds lovely! I’ve seen photos of the falls lit up in winter, and it looks amazing.
One thing that I do not see mentioned in this article is the biggest argument against going to Niagra Falls:
“Barrel Trash”
The subhuman Canadians and Buffalonians who surround the beautiful falls are a frightening reminder that we are just one step removed from our simian cousins.
Terrifying, toothless, totally stupid… watch out for the barrel trash.
Hi Potluck,
I’d appreciate it if you took your bigoted beliefs away from this place of peace and love.

I was at Niagara Falls over 20 years ago when I was in high school. I don’t think I appreciated how beautiful it really was. Seeing your post and the photos prods me into making a return trip sooner than later. Thanks for sharing 🙂
No worries! I need to get there as well!
Reason 6, because it will only get more overdeveloped. Though I agree the falls themselves are spectacular.
Good enough reason for me – always sad to see spectacular destinations go that way.
Is is a beautiful site you feel all that wind in your face it is close to fun theme parks so it’s just an amazing place to go ??
This is amazing place to visit in 2017. Thanks
My wife and I are thinking of going for 4 nights. Haven’t been there since our kids were young – about 25 years ago. We are both 57 years old. Any suggestions for activity while we’re there? We are thinking of staying at the Marriott – is this a good choice?
Hi Greg, unfortunately I haven’t had a chance to visit myself (this was a guest post), but I hope you have a fantastic time!
